Based on a week of trying as many spots in Lexington as I could (and the local hype of everyone we met), this is one of the best restaurants in Lexington. We're from Houston, and Houston is known for a diverse selection of authentic foods. This Thai restaurant delivered great flavors and authentic recipes (disclaimer: I am not Thai, the claim that the restaurant serves authentic recipes is based on the fact that the owner is Thailand). Our waiter was incredibly kind. Service was great! The steamed dumplings are amazing and, according to our waiter, were made by the owner and owner's mom. We are Filipino and Chinese and know what authentic steamed dumplings taste like. These are the real deal! We like spicy food, so we ordered the Red Curry with Pork and asked for the spice level to be a 10/10 (the menu's default is 5/10). This is the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Like ever. We aren’t from the area but were in town visiting family and decided to try out NapaThai. Our waitress, Lei, was a gentle soul with a heck of an awesome list of recommendations. As you can see, we tried most of them. The Tom Kha soup (not pictured) was out of this world. For my entree I asked Lei to pick for me and surprise me. I asked for two dishes as I intended to take leftovers. She went with the Crispy Shrimp and Pork Pad Thai. I was going to bring the leftovers to my husband but accidentally (totally couldn’t help myself) ate both entrees. BOTH. The Crispy Shrimp was so good I didn’t even CARE about the rice. As if it couldn’t get any better, it was my Dad’s birthday celebration and as we were checking out they surprised us with homemade coconut ice cream.
